Putting on some timber
Right so I'm spelt but surely putting it on, had health issues over the last few years and dropped a lot of weight due to operations etc, went down to 64 kg, over the last 12 months iv gone up somewhat to 80kg, I'm around 5ft11 so starting to tip the balance here and have a bit of a gut going on. Looking for ideas, tips etc, I'm really time poor with a new born and full time working in london and can't do any impact sport due to having a transplant and been warned against it, I'm fairly young still and don't drink much beer.

I'm aware I'm gong to get cunted off with this but don't care really to be honest.

Cheers

You might not have time to exercise but you definitely have time to eat less.

Re: Putting on some timber
Just do a 25 minute HIT work out indoors every other day, eat healthily and cut down booze. It's not rocket science.

If you do have blow out on the booze or a big meal so what? Just carry on. It's better to have a blow out when you are exercising and eating well than having a blow out when you are big fat lazy slob anyway.

Re: Putting on some timber
Get your diet right first, thats roughly 80% of the problem.
if you are time poor you can still do a meaningful workout in 30min.

i'm a big fan on intermittent fasting for fat loss.

Sme here sniper, mid 30's and it just goes on too easily! No easy fixes though I guess, now if this heat wave can just pass then I will have to think of another excuse not to exercise!

Re: Putting on some timber
I thought bmi was just a lot of old bollocks when you look at when it was invented?

Anyway, I'm now mid 30s and have had to come to the horrific realisation that I can't just eat whatever I like any more - I seem to pile on the pounds pretty sharpish these days. Guess I'd better start exercising...

Fifth

I think sometimes we can over do thinking about weight BMI is just a calculator and means very little in my mind you can be a couple of stones over it and be very healthy.

Hairy

His BMI is in "normal" area though another few kilos would tip him into the slightly overweight category. That's based on him being 40 years old which I just guessed.

Been doing this

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L77b57erQ4M

Note doesnt require gym mixed in with getting eating under control and properly. No gym is a bonus since can be done anyway with enough space.

Shaped up nicely. Far better than jogging since did my right knee in thru that.

November 40 inch waist today 36 inch.....

Re: Putting on some timber
On a more serious note, although I was semi serious, the basic rules are a mixture of diet and exercise to quote the obvious.

In the gym if you are doing weights you can well put on weight as muscle is heavier than fat. If you do a ot of cardio you will burn it off or small weights and say 3 X 15 reps or more.

On diet my rules are definately no white bread, white rice, pasta For carbs a baked potato. And no food after 6pm. If you are tempted have a advocado.

Thank me later.

Actually very sound advice.

As much as the 30 minute drive home feeling like I was dying and then the spaghetti hanging from my nostrils and arse was horrendous, the Noro virus was an absolute touch when I got that.

8lbs lost in 3 days without having to do anything other than sleep on the bathroom floor.

Result!

Well except for the small beer belly and hamster cheeks.

Always stayed fairly fit, but now in my 40's and unable to do as much, the lager is doing's it's job.

Couldn't give a shit really, only ever stayed fit for sport anyway.

I would commend swiss's advice, until the last bit. don't have anything to do with your ex, there is plenty of fresh meet out there for you...

stop putting shit processed food in your mouth, cut down on portion sizes and drink water when you're hungry and then have a healthy snack 10 mins later if still hungry.

In that heat yesterday taking the hound for a walk I reckoned I must of sweat about 2.5 pints of Strongbow out of my system… at least that’s what I wrung out of my T-shirt afterwards…

Change your diet. I'd advocate raw chicken and out of date eggs.

You'll drop 3 stone in a week.
